These people are idiots. You can make hash with a bucket, water, and ice, no danger involved. There's no reason to use butane to being with. I'll bet these people take a bath with an electric heater sitting next to the tub too. Of course, it's also worth pointing out that Prohibition-era alcohol manufacturing had potentially dangerous consequences also. People died in explosions, died from poisoning, and died in the wars waged for control of the alcohol.
If cannabis were controlled and regulated like alcohol is now, people like this idiot wouldn't need to try making it in his own house. He can instead buy a case of beer, a bottle of wine, a pack of cigs and if it were legal, a pack of hash, no dangerous process needed to make it, just a legal form of ID to purchase it. What we need is cannabis control and regulation, not more of this wild west mentality.
