Reality: Comet, you're a lost cause. Try reading about "correlation doesn't equal causation" sometime. By your ignorant, invalid argument, we should also bring back alcohol prohibition, try to regulate morality again, because it worked SO WELL the first time! For that matter, lets make fast food, caffeine and tobacco illegal, since they kill a combined total of over one MILLION per year in the USA alone! Cars kill thousands per year, lets outlaw them too right? Obesity kills in HUGE numbers, should we outlaw candy, and all milk besides Skim? Where does your illogical though process end?
How many people die as a direct result of cannabis per year? None, and not just per year, but EVER. It's physically impossible to overdose, yet it's somehow too dangerous or something because you think people shouldn't have the right, the freedom to choose what they want to consume for themselves. Neither you or even the Federal government is going to tell me I can't use cannabis when I can legally get myself addicted to McDonalds, Budweiser, and Starbucks. As for asking law enforcement, maybe YOU should. Try doing some reading at www.LEAP.cc thats "Law Enforcement AGAINST Prohibition". You'll see its a growing group of tens of THOUSANDS of current and retired law enforcement acknowledging this colossal failure that you're apparently too blind to see since you have your head buried deep in the sand.
