The corruption of Mike Winters is sickening. He should be ashamed, and kicked out of office. The voters of Oregon have voted to allow OMMP years ago. The citizens of Oregon have the right to cannabis, a medicine safer than prescription pills without the adverse side effects. Just because these people choose to use a medicine safer than pills does NOT mean they give up any other rights, including 2nd Amendment gun rights and MEDICAL PRIVACY via HIPAA, which means it's NONE of Winters's business whether someone is on OMMP or not.
Just like I have no right to know what meds someone else is on, it's their right to medical privacy, and the same goes for anything else from aspirin to cannabis. The fact is that people are waking up to the truth, and old school Prohibitionists like Mike Winters, the DEA, and the Obama administration, are still spewing lies and outright propaganda against cannabis. The fact is that lots of people choose it as a safe alternative to relaxing with a glass of wine or beer. Unlike alcohol though, cannabis is NOT addictive, CANNOT cause fatal overdose, and does NOT kill brain cells, rather it's been proven to generate NEW brain cell growth in a 2009 study.
These are scientific facts, and Cannabis TV on Wednesdays at 8pm channel 15, is helping to spread the truth. Winters and the other Prohibitionists cannot succeed in their misguided fight. The American people faught against slavery and won, faught against alcohol Prohibition and won, fought for women voting rights and won, cannabis is just another issue in the long line of the American people standing up against an unjust and corrupt government to take back their rights, we WILL prevail.
Get active in the cannabis community, talk to others and find out how you can help end cannabis prohibition, to help bring individual rights and freedom to Oregon, along with THOUSANDS of jobs and millions of dollars in revenue and taxes. The other option is to let Winters continue shoveling our dwindling tax dollar resources down a black hole like we have now, but I hope we're no longer that stupid.
