I think it's massively hypocritical that Medford police Chief Tim George would cry about how they don't have enough resources for violent crimes. Look around, we're spending MILLIONS of dollars enforcing a failed policy of cannabis prohibition. These are non-violent "offenders" who do no harm to others and are unjustly discriminated against. It cost the residents of Oregon millions of taxpayer dollars and does NOTHING to reduce use or curtail the gangs that fuel their activities with the underground market for cannabis. Tim George can go cry somewhere else, I have no sympathy for that hypocrite.
Instead of wasting all this money by throwing it down a black hole of prohibition enforcement, let's use that money to help fight against the gangs, against the arsonists, against the murderers and sex offenders. Those are the real crimes, we should be focusing on that, not a substance safer than alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine. Get active in the fight against cannabis prohibition to help change things.
